Yes for MA
No for NH
Note on NH NR - for NRs NH relies on the bg check that was done for your home/other state CCW that you must send a copy of to get your NH NR. That is how they turn them around in ~7 days (including USMail both ways).
Actually, it is up to the county in Virginia. A county may require fingerprints for the initial CWP application investigation (e.g., Chesterfield County does). HB1577, just passed and enacted by the state legislature and Governor (except for certain provisions which may not take effect until July 2007, if at all), eliminates the fingerprint requirements for renewal of an existing CWP.Originally Posted by MechE

Yes in Oregon.
NH will take a copy of your Res. permit as does PA.
Or at least they have never printed me.
It's not required in West Virginia. My father just renewed his, and didn't have to provide them.

Maine,just thumb print.
I live in Augusta ,Maine and Dick just opened so I went and checked
it out. They were running a special on ammo so I purchased a couple
of boxes of pistol ammo 45,9mm.The saleman walked me down
to front registor like walmart when you buy a gun. When I asked
why because of 9mm ammo I said was 45 pistol ammo and this policy makes no sense! I didn't see any bargins so I guess I will
revert to my old habits of buying ammo in bulk on line and not feeling
like a leper.I wonder what the jokers have thought about people
about thompson contenders? I bet the suits are lost on this one!
I go to the stores that cater to the police.
Yes in OH.
It's not about the caliber you carry, it's about how you USE it.
