Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around laws. Plato
As far as I see and know, no guns sold in Kentucky and Ohio.
Our local Wally World does sell guns and ammo. Not a lot of stock in ammo. I was out in Louisiana a couple weeks ago and was able to find some 9mm and 380 ammo at walmart there. Six box limit per day.

Black powder rifles and whatever ammo may be there on any given day.
1 Wal-mart & 2 Super Wal-marts within 25 miles.
All three sell rifles and shotguns, and surprisingly enough they have been getting ammo back in stock to the point that they have .22 on the shelf with out any lock or key.
I was there just about 2 hours ago and there were multiple boxes of .32, .380, 9, .38, .357, .40, & two boxes of win 100 count 44mag. there must have been about 30 boxes of federal .22lr 550 bricks.
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws... serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man - Cesare Beccaria
Two stores close by have Black powder rifles, powder and bullets. Also sell a variety of handgun, rifle and shotgun ammo (limited handgun ammo on the shelf).
One store about an hour away also has rifles and shotguns.
Long guns only.

I have five within a half hour's drive from me. Two of the five sell rifles and shotguns. They both stay fully stocked and have a variety or guns.
While Walmart may one day stopping selling firearms completely, as of right now ony the stores that had the top 20% of firearm sales still carry them.
I have noticed recently that the two Kmarts that are still operating in our area no longer sell firearms. I don't know when they stopped because until a month ago it had been probably ten years since I'd been in a Kmart.
1/4 local Walmarts sell small caliber rifles and shotguns. 4/4 sell ammo. .22, 223, 30-06 and pretty much every shotgun round you can think of is usually in stock at every store. .40 S&W is the most common handgun round available, of course in limited quantities.
Its a good thing I got my XD in .40.

4 local Wal Marts sell long guns and ammo. Hard to find ammo, but have found .357, .32 auto, .40SW etc...
The ones by me only sell ammo...There are a couple in towns near lakes I frequent and they sell rifles, shotguns and ammo....The sporting goods manager at the store by my home told me, they quit selling in his store because they weren't any cheaper than Academy sports and a couple of other competitors and didn't do near the volume... He does keep a full stock of ammo at this store...It's been my 'go to' store this year...

There are a number of local WM's that do sell long guns only. Most of them sell ammo as well.

Yes they do. Mini 14, shotguns, rifles, but no handguns
