Actually, this may not be correct either. In some places, shopkeeper's have the right to perform a contemporaneous search of the person and the object's within his control.

I use to think the same thing until I was stationed in Europe. Even the tough guys use fanny packs over there. Granted, they may sling-carry them on one shoulder to look cooler but they still have em'. Also, the Euro models don't look as gay as the US versions.
