    Since the day I started carrying, I've always had 2 magazines on me at any time there's a gun on my shoulder or hip. Too many good reasons to carry a spare, and not one good reason I can think of to not carry spares.

    I completely agree;I don't anticipate having a situation where I'll need more than 13 rounds.
    I CAN see a situation where the mag fails.
    I carry a spare mag more for the mag than for the ammo. (But the extra ammo couldn't hurt)
