Magazine being released while carrying
Ok, I finally got my crossbreed holster. I love it. Its as comfortable as carrying a concealed firearm can get IMO. Only problem so far is if I carry for a long period of time the magazine gets released. It hasn't fallen out thank God, but if I were to draw for whatever reason I would only be good for one shot. Not good. This has happened twice so far in 48 hours. I'm right handed so the magazine release button is facing towards the leather/my hip. So the reason for posting this is I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem continuously with this holster, and what some of the remedies could be for this.

I've never heard of that problem before from them. I would call them and either have them fix it or exchange it. That is a BAD problem to have.
I'd stop carrying with that holster until it's fixed as well.
Here is the guarantee from Crossbreed's websight:
Once you receive your holster you have two weeks to try it out, if it doesn't work for you, simply give us a ring and we will buy it back. Even after your two-week-try-it-free period is over, the holster still carries a lifetime warranty and we will repair or replace it as long as you own it if it fails you in any way under normal use.

Is there an extended mag release on that weapon? Maybe a stock release with a firmer spring would remedy. Shame to send back a holster you find comfortable and would be wearing when SHTF.

That was my question. Depending on the model and the safety system, your gun might not even fire without a magazine in it. In that case, you wouldn't even get your one shot off. Better throw the gun at them!

A properly fitting holster shouldn't be pressing on the magazine release in any way. Extended release or not. It should be cut around it.
If he sends the holster back he won't be without it for long. They will get it back to him.
It's so much better to have a proper fitting holster than go to draw your firearm in a SHTF situation and have the magazine fall out.
Call Crossbreed. Have them fix or replace it. You shouldn't have to do any mods to your gun or your holster.

Yes, get in touch with the maker and make things right.
Not a good situation if you were to draw!
Good luck.

On a side note though... it's a good reminder to practice those malfunction drills!

The initial release of the HK P7 had that problem and a few older S&W model 39's. I have known where some owners of auto-loaders failed to fully insert their magazines as well. There's nothing more embarrassing than drawing your pistol and then have your fully loaded mag fall to the ground. Ok, there is also those times when you thought the safety was off when it wasn’t. That one happens all the time. ~

Which cut of the crossbreed do you have? That may be part of the problem...

I had a mag release spring seemed overly tight so I cut a little off and now even tho it releases easier if I'm in an armchair it can release if I push against it,maybey you need to replace the mag release spring
