On long runs I already run with a Golite fanny pack for gel packs, keys, cell.
It will take some getting used to, but I'll try a beefier lumbar pack.
I use a little bit larger GoLite pack w/ my G23. Works pretty well. This is the one I have:

    GoLite HydroCruise

I've used it on runs over 6 hours without any issues.

    Good luck!

I'll check that out...I have numerous Golite products so why not buy this too!

As far as the Eagle products mentioned above. The fanny pack looks a little small for my needs and backpacks and running just don't work for me. The one and only time I attempted to run with a backpack on I ended up taking it off after 1 mile, throwing it in the woods and picking it up later in my car.

As for answer to the question...

When I'm going to do a lot of work or be sweating I switch to my BUG and pocket carry. OWB holster is another good bet but it would bump into things and people get kinda around guns in plain sight.
There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Have you thought about going to a really small weapon like a P3AT or a LCP for your long runs? If you went for that you could probably get it in your existing long run pack.

Lets just say I'm not a real rich guy so I try to make what I have work!

I think it's going to work with one of a three waist (fanny) packs I'm looking at.

It's going to bounce, but I'm going to have to get used to it. I can live with the bouncing. I just hope there's no associated chafing.

If you live on the Colorado Front Range, their (GoLite) warehouse sale is this weekend:

You could wear this under your existing shirt. I have a couple for wearing with some of my work clothes since my IWB holster is not always perfectly unobtrusive. It is similar to an Under Armour type shirt for material.

I know my Kimber UCII bounces around a bit when running and you can hear the mags bang about when you carry more than one. It is padded pretty well around the pockets though and isn't too bad. Just order it kind of snug and they won't bounce around as much. I made the mistake of ordering the first one too big.
