Finally!
Just got my permit in the mail today and took my planned trip to Wal-Mart this afternoon as my first opportunity to carry in public. Strapped on the G26 in it's MTAC and off I went.
Fortunately an uneventful trip and I look forward to many, many more uneventful trips. Just thought I'd share!

Congrat on the new permit, MS is now a little safer.
"That I cannot do."

Sorry folks but I guess I’ll never quite figure out this whole obsession thing’ with Wal-Mart. I'm assuming it’s because that offer less expensive range ammo?

Well I went to pick up groceries and since my permit came in the mail earlier that day I just made it my first trip. Other than that I dont understand the wal-mart trek either! Just sheer coincidence on my part.

Ah...the Wally World walk! The more you carry, the more you will be comfortable carrying. You will find the sheeple are clueless and most wouldn't know the print of a handgun unless you had S&W sewn into your jeans. You will always think you're printing more than you are. You will learn to:
Stoop or kneel rather than bend over.
Reach for high objects with your off hand.
Not keep constantly adjusting your rig through your shirt.
Pass through crowds with your strong side to the rear.
Dress around the gun.
Protect your weapon from being bumped with your
elbow/forearm.
Use a public toilet without it falling out. "Hey, buddy (in the
next stall), little help! Can you kick that XD9 back this way?
Thanks"
Congrats!
