I agree with your decision.
I purchased one of those cheep East German 380 a decade ago for $125 dollars. Thinking I needed a cheap gun to leave in the boat, I thought it would be just right. Well, after more consideration, I felt that I did not trust it, and I would be better off carrying my Glock on and off the boat, instead of leaving a cheap gun on it. So last year when I was making room for new stuff in the safe, I sold it.
The good news is, with firearms selling the way, they do the gun store that sold it for me, got $225 for it.
