From what I've read, AZ and VT.

Not planning on moving to either, nor TX, altho I love visiting all 3.

The thing about "defense" is that it has practically nothing to do with guns. (As passed on by CCW9MM)

As great as KY is, a state like VT or AK that allows concealed carry of all law abiding citizens regardless of having a permit or not sounds great.

PA is cool because they issue non resident permits that are good in other states.

South Carolina isn't bad, but may not be quite as good as some states.

I live in the Great State of Texas, but I would have to choose Alaska or Vermont also as more gun friendly so far.

FL has few places that one cannot carry, and has a Castle Doctrine. Now if they just allowed defense of property like in TX...

I would agree with this, but I doubt I'd want to live in either of those places. All things considered, I'd much rather stay here in Texas, or somewhere like Arizona or Florida.

NH is pretty good. OC for all legal gun owners (though its likely to draw attention from the police in Southern NH) and license only costs $10 and most towns process it in about a week. If you can pass the instant background check and have 3 friends, then you can get your CC license. (Its a license, not a permit, fwiw).

Oklahoma's not bad, and there aren't many states friendlier to visit for a licensed/permitted concealed carrier. If you have a license issued by any state, you're good here, which is as it should be.

Sure, no license requirement is better, but still, Oklahoma's not bad.

In kentucky your CCW license is good for switchblades, brass knuckles, and just about anything else you want to carry. It's a weapons permit, not just a gun permit.

Are you sure about this one?

Connecticut isn't the worst, but it sure isn't on the best top 10.

AZ soon, hopefully the constitutional carry bill passes, which it likely will. It will do away with the required permit also.
