Sounds about right. From everything I've read on here and other sites:
Employees cannot CC. Customers can OC/CC depending on state law.
I guess if I worked for Walmart I'd be hoping there was always some customers around who CC in case a nutcase starts going on a killing spree.
Just limiting their liability. Makes sense to me. If you an employee and your there officially don't carry.
They at least limit it to no carry on official business.
That's pretty typical for a company, and compliant with laws regarding private vehicles. It doesn't mean you can't carry, but if you ever are found out you'll be fired immediately. You have to decide if that is worth the risk.
An enemy of liberty is no friend of mine. I do not owe respect to anyone who would enslave me by government force, nor is it wise for such a person to expect it. -- Isaiah Amberay
Hell, I'd still carry. Have you seen the nut jobs in WM? I get the heebies the second i'm 100ft from a WM, let alone walking inside of one.
If your checker position or re-stocking job at Walmart is more important than your life, then by all means don't CC for your own protection.
Me? I don't plan on working for WM... Ever.
However, Wally World management is Second Amendment friendly. In each package of signs a store manager receives is the typical "No Guns" or "No Concealed Weapons". The store manager may put it up at his discretion. However, a polite complaint from a couple of CWP holders will usually get the District Manager to instruct the Store Manager to remove the sign. And thus is born the "Wally World Walk".
This was basically the same policy at defunct GM factories around Dayton, Ohio. Still in effect at the DMAX factory in Moraine. With fair warning, goofy gun traders were fired for trading and exchanging guns in parking lots; everybody knew who was doing it. Domestic and workplace violence, with the associated liabilities and dudes with girlfriends, wives, debts and feuds brought this about.
Sounds about like where I work. Can keep it in my vehicle if i chose as long as I have a letter from the VP.![]()

Most companies have that in their corporate policy due to liability or insurance requirements. Our Workers Comp policy premiums are lower due a similiar company policy.

That is right, I know people that work at WW and they cannot carry at work.

Thats no joke..... I dont like for my family to go into walmart after dark . there has been way too many instances. with the last a woman parked in the 1st parking space closest to the door, and a guy at gunpoint took her purse, watch and rings from her. Walmart cant even keep their stores safe. I would almost chance carrying if i worked there due to the FACT that walmarts security sure cant protect you. JMHO

I can understand the policy up to the point where they presume the right to tell you that you can't have your firearm in your vehicle.
They could definitely kiss my hairy white butt on that one!![]()
ALWAYS carry! - NEVER tell!

If find this portion to be quite odd. Most employers exempt reserve LEO's and/or off-duty LEO's from the "no weapons" policies, even if they're in a "non-security position".In certain circumstances, the company may employ off-duty police officers for non-security positions within a given facility. If the police department by which he/she is employed requires him/her to carry a concealed weapon as part of their off duty responsibility, this is in conflict with company policy, and will not be allowed.
