    Finally got my Michigan CPL!

My wife and I finally got our Michigan CPL's in the mail yesterday. I found it rather anti climactic which was disappointing. All the waiting and paperwork and $$ etc...and the permits came in an Allegan County Clerk envelope by themselves with no other info.

But I guess it's not the paper but what stands behind it right?

Guess we're heading to Costco or Walmart on Saturday for our official "walk".

Here in NC or at least in the county where I live... the sheriff's dept mails you a postcard saying your concealed handgun permit is available.. you must
go back with a government ID AND PICK UP THE PERMIT IN PERSON. I just turned my paper work in on Dec 9th and this is much faster than I was expecting!!!! I will get it on Friday!

It's great that you and your wife got them together.

What are you both going to carry?

    Congrats and safe travels.

It can vary. Here in Macomb County 3 of us applied together, last January, I got mine March 20th , hubby got his April 17th and Dad finally got his May 21st.

I know folks who have there CHL and just don't carry.

I wish every person with a CHL or what ever it is called in their state would carry everywhere it is legal for them to carry.

I told one person "if you really need your pistol, what will you do, throw your plastic card at the BG?"

All this said I hope you and your wife carry every where it is legal, as my wife and I do!!!!!!!

Oakland county took me almost exactly 6 weeks. Over christmas, new years and martin luther king day. You should get it soon.
