    Finally turning in my paperwork....

Back in october a friend of mine and I took out ccw class. I had a few things happen emoloyment wise right after and was unable to justify spending the $104 on the cpl. Now that things are stable enough now I am going downtown tomorrow to turn in my paperwork and all. I am really excited to be getting this done. It took my buddy about 2 1/2 months to get his back. It was right at the end of the year and all maybe mine wont take as long.
One huge motivating factor is the fact that I am moving. I currently live in a fairly quiet city. I'd say more upper middle class. I am moving 12 miles away to Flint, yep..Flint Michigan. I was born and went to elementary school there. The area I am moving to is right next to the college and seems to be pretty decent. I'm not worried about the neighborhood so much as the surrounding areas that I will need to go to, such as gas stations, convienient stores etc.
Now obviously I never want to even feel the need to pull my firearm, but I believe I will feel alot better having some means of protection on me.
Anyhow just wanted to share that.

Glad you were able to apply for it, and hope it doesn't take long to come through. Remember, there is no such thing as a "safe" area. Just those that are "more" dangerous than others.
Freedom doesn't come free. It is bought and paid for by the lives and blood of our men and women in uniform.

You are going to be living right in/near the new murder capital of the U.S.
Being armed, trained, and practicing is a must...good luck!

Flint is rough, stay armed and be safe.
Don"t let stupid be your skill set....

And Shepards we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, So that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command,
And we shall flow a river forth to Thee, And teeming with souls shall it ever be,
