...not to drag us to Nebraska this summer. Nebraska has NO reciprocity(sp) with ANY other state. Why do I want to drive to Omaha to see a zoo, when I /we can't defend ourselves? Why has Nebraska chosen to exclude all but thier own residents from self defence? Can I pick up a state trooper at the border for the duration?And I am not carrying him.:blink: Why can't we just go to St.Louis, they have a nice zoo and we can pack:comeandgetsome:?

What, are you new to marriage? 18 years and I can't "convince" the wife of anything, just do what I want and deal with the nagging later, after the years the nag is more tolerable and she pretty much expects what I do anyway.
As for your situation, I agree but other that just "not" going I cant be much help.

I think your probably safer in Nebraska without being able to carry than you would be in St. Louis being able to carry.
Seriously, don't let not being able to carry a pistol someplace make trouble for yourself and your wife. You have many other options. Your gun should be your last option in a SHTF scenario.
If you really want to remain the safest you can, then you would be left sitting at home with the house closed up and swapping out security watch between the two of you. Live a little and take the wife to Nebraska.

I'm reasonably sure that your Missouri permit is honored in Nebraska.

Bring us lots of your $$$$$$$, stay a week, lots of shopping in Omaha. Something tells me that the zoo is posted, and in NE if it is posted, you don't want to carry, because they won't ask you to leave, the boy's in blue will be your tour guide for the human zoo.
Take your wife to Borsheims, she will be happy, and your bill-fold will be thinner.
