Here's a couple of my rules.........

Don't do anything while armed that you wouldn't do un-armed.

Don't approach a trip to the mall with your wife as if you're the lead SS Agent on the presidential detail. Those characters that make eye contact with you are looking at you because you're glaring at them. Go armed but enjoy yourself.

Don't point a gun at, use pepper spray on, or karate chop every homeless person that approaches you at the Quickie Mart. In most cases these guys are harmless drunks and just need another dollar to get more Mad Dog 20-20.

Don't become so obsessed with security that you and your family can't enjoy life....it's just too short to live that way. Ride that roller coaster at the fair, take the kids to the beach and take your wife on that cruise she's always talking about.

Don't carry without a leather holster... keep them coming.
I typically carry in a MaxPedition bag, but I carry a DA/SA CZ PCR with a long, 11-12 pound DA trigger. The long, heavy trigger along with just keeping my finger out of the trigger guard is enough to me. YMMV

For hip carry, I have a Blackhawk Serpa holser for my XD/FNP-9. It's a really good holster. I also have leather Blackhawk holsters for my Sig SP2022.

There's no point in carrying a concealed firearm if you constantly tell everyone you carry a concealed firearm.
Battle Plan (n) - a list of things that aren't going to happen if you are attacked.
Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

What about “ Your firearm does not make you like Superman”. Avoid those situations there you know it might be trouble, and do not be reckless just because you are carrying a gun.

Know your firearm and exactly how it functions, and never carry a firearm you haven't tested or with ammo you haven't tested.

Hmmm, maybe a relationship. Can't see where that would have to do with firearms though.

Ok. I asked because I thought maybe you had a incident to relate.

At the end of the day be the one that goes home to family.

Be SA and avoid trouble spots.

If you are going to over penetrate (357mag FMJ at 10 feet) try to line all BG up in straight line.
