    Bulletproof Tailor

    Has anyone seen this?
    Bogota's bulletproof tailor - CNN.com

Would you consider wearing something like this while you're CCing? Assuming the cost is reasonable of course.

Watch at 8:00 to see him get shot while wearing it.

I would definitly consider it depending on price, and definitly after doing some more research on it's stopping ability.

I see this as being the wave of the future in our country, just go the local WM and buy level one, two or three for every day comfort and long lasting war. sorry I meant to say ware

Ollie North had a company doing Kevlar-lined business clothes and such when he first, ah, found himself in need of a private sector job, as I recall.

On a different note, I think the Second Chance guy letting himself be shot to demonstrate his own vests is pretty crazy to start with. A reporter getting shot by a guy he just met, using a gun the knows nothing about, wearing a product he is utterly unfamiliar with???

Moron is the only thing that comes to mind that won't get me infraction points.

Well, it does provide a new perspective on self-defense. If I were a high value target or someone important then great! Otherwise, this stuff can't be all that comfortable for the everyday private citizen. Initially, I would like it but after a while I'm afraid it would get old, hot and cumbersome. Besides, I'm more concerned that it would make me look fat! Ahhhh, such vanity...

Still, I'm sure there are some that would love to be ready for that occasional drive-by shooting in their suburbia neighborhoods.

The reporter is nuts to trust ANYONE firing at him even in bullet proof clothing.

Entertaining video. I really like the way the company president mentioned the "hip hop" contingent as a possible big market. The way he blew his breath out and shook his head a bit when he mentioned them had me rolling.

+1 to not getting shot, voluntarily or otherwise.

Another layer of protection for those in need. I hope our everyday living does not become so bad that everyone needs BP clothing.

So say these become more prevalent, seems to me the everyday crook would certainly want to get his hands on these.

He names all the customer all over the world, but he forgot to tell about all drug dealers too . And that about the hip-hop people was hilarious. I hope that the world does not change that much so we need to wear something like that. I just cannot imagine wearing one of them in South Florida.
