Good for what would probably fit most situations - but - there might, just might be a situation where aim would be important if not just yourself involved - but one of your family members being in harms way and your not quite close enough to do a point and shoot.

Did not believe in them for years. Then I purchased a pistol with them...of the 5 carry guns I own only one now remains to be converted and that will be accomplished soon.

Night sight on front sight only

After using night sights on front and rear and no night sights whatsoever. As well as initiating as the OP a good discussion on the value of problems using night sights. I have now concluded that night sights on the front sight ONLY is the way to go. There are several reasons for this. The three major reasons are:

    1) Don't have rear sight distraction with rear sight night sights, i.e. focus on the front sight.
    2) Not lighted up in the holster since front sight is occluded.
    3) No lights on my hands for someone to shoot at (IMO).

Night Sights allow you to sight with the front and rear sights in near darkness. Night Sights will not help you and have little or no relationship with point shooting.

I do recommend night sights. For one, they do not easily give your position away like most laser grips. If one properly learns to sight the pistol in a combative situation, night sights defiantly have their place but not for point shooting.
