OC or CC while at home?

Do you OC or CC while at home and/of your own property? Also in VA is it legal to CC in your home/property without a permit? I'm still waiting on mine and still normally CC while at home. Someone comes to the door then I'll VA Tuck since I wasn't sure. I know it's "my house and I'll do what I want" but asking what is legal and not what you feel you should be able to do.

When at home, my pistol is either on my body or within an arms reach away...always!

Depends on how I dress for the day. Today I'm wearing a long sleeved flanel shirt untucked, so I'm concealed. Other days I may tuck my shirt and OC in the house and wear my vest when I leave the house. I always have my LCP on me too.

I don't know the legalese on it, but at home, I generally CC, or make it so I can easily CC if my son's friends come to the door (seems only kids notice when I carry - perhaps because it's closer to eye level?).

Either way is legal on your own property. Your only option off your property is OC until your permit comes through. How I choose to carry at home depends on my mood that day.

Usually OC in a beltslide. Occasionally I'll pull my shirt over it. I'm OC right now. If it's not jacket weather I OC outside the house too. Heck, I OC'd a walmart today.

I open carry in the house. When I answer the door, it's clear I'm armed.

I open carry on my own property (inside and outside) and conceal when ready to leave my property.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.
