Last night was my first date in about 10 years. I was pretty nervous. I picked her up at her house and we went to dinner and a movie. I spent quite a bit of time picking out clothes to make sure I was concealing well. I thought I did a pretty good job. I stood in front of the mirror for at least 10 mins turning around and twisting to make sure I wasn’t printing at all.

The date went well. We had a lot of fun and some great conversation. I dropped her off at her house and walked her to the front door and we exchanged the normal after date pleasantries. “I had fun” “We will have to go out again” etc. And then she says “I like a man that’s prepared” I’m sure I had a pretty stupid look on my face as I asked her “errrr, what do you mean?” She replies "Your side arm is sitting at 4 o’clock on your right hip inside your waist band, you have a spare mag behind your left hip. There’s a knife clipped inside your right pocket and a small light clipped inside your left (I was wearing a pretty long shirt un-tucked by the way).”

At this point I’m sure the look on my face probably went from stupid to dread. However she didn’t appear to be uncomfortable at all. So I asked “What gave me away?”. She said “When we walked from my house to the car you were scanning the area. I tried to walk on your right side but you shifted so that I was walking on your left side. You did the same thing when we left the restaurant. That’s generally a sign of someone that is either intelligence, ex-military ,law enforcement or a civilian that carries so I started watching.’

I was COMPLETLEY dumb founded. I got totally, 100 percent without a doubt made for EVERYTHING I was carrying. I had no idea what to say. The first thing that came to mind was ‘Sorry”. She laughed and said ‘I did 2 tours in Iraq (She hadn’t mentioned that she was in the military) You learn to pay attention pretty fast”. I asked her why she hadn’t mentioned that she served before and she said she usually doesn’t because it tends to scare guys off. I asked her why it scares guys off and she said with a big smile “Guys tend to be intimidated by a girl that can kick their behind”. I asked her if she was carrying and she said yes. I asked where and she replied “Are you going to ask me out again?” I said yes and she said "Maybe you will find out”. I think I just found my dream girl!

We need proof. This is WAY to close to one of those stories that starts with, "I never thought this would happen to me, but..."

Yeah I have to agree, this sounds like it should be posted in the Penthouse Forums!
You need to have her join here and give her side of the story. Plus we need pics.

Seriously though, I hope you next date goes as well. Sounds like you will have lots to talk about on this date. Another great thing is now you have a "Reason" to stare at her body. Just tell her your looking for her EDC!

Bah! I didn't even think of that. When I opened her car door at the movie she brushed against my left side. Any one else probably would have though it was a phone or something but since she new my pistol was on my right she probably assumed it was a spare mag. Was trying to figure out how she knew....

Talk about an exciting "romantic encounter" remove her blouse, unhook the bra, remove the holstered side arm, locate and remove the mag pouch, knife and flashlight..........:danceban: excuse me been in the sandbox too long

UH....her name wasn't "Jane Smith" was it?

Sheesh...did you check to make sure she didn't lift your wallet while she made you so completely?!?! Wow, great awareness on her part.

Sounds like she was fun to date too. Now remember that a woman to settle down with needs to be more than a fun date who is into firearms, call her and act like a gentleman, and have another date!

Time for you to do a little recon of your own! Find out where she got her training, what she did in the military, and most importantly... what she's carrying and where it is.

There's something great about being out with someone who can help defend you instead of requiring defense. I felt much better when my wife got her permit and started carrying.

Sounds like you need to be saving up for a ring if my g/f said those things on our first date I would have had to pickup my jaw......several times.

Good Luck!! What I would like to know is that you kept her on your weak side when walking. (good move). Now I am old fashioned but I was taught to always walk on the curb side of the walkway. (Miss Manners) and at times that puts her on your strong side. How do you handle that???????

Wait, I just realized something. This was his first date in 10 years.

He probably thinks ALL the women he could date are this way!

I've been on this site at least half a dozen times today, and never saw this thread?!?! This whole thing must be pretty exciting to everyone, given the number of replies. I find it quite humorous to say the least :) And just like everyone else, am anxiously awaiting chapter two. Ten bucks says she's a member on here and is getting quite the kick out of all of this.
