I'm a resident in Texas as been my whole life and took my out of state Utah class here in dfw this past January. I was wondering why I cannot contact anyone about my status upon receiving it in the mail. I know to wait 60 days blah blah blah but just want to know what the status is!! Any insite?????? i never tried to call them on mine... It showed up in the mail about 1 1/2 months after I sent it in. sorry I cant help more

A bunch of us in OR sent ours in last December. All of us have recieved them and they all took very close to 60 days. Gotta be patient I guess.

I've heard that it takes about exactly the 60 days.
We also learned the number of permit apps coming in, it's HUGE - can't remember an exact number but thousands per month.
Think: State workers deluged with applications, and no requirement to take status questions. You might have better luck calling the IRS to ask how your refund is coming along.

Don't know what their current time frame is but last year I mailed my application on 2/2/2009 and my license was issued on 05/12/2009, a shade over 3 months. Based on what they told me at the time, you can count on at least 60 days after your payment is processed. I paid by check and my check was processed on March 4th, a little over 30 days after I had mailed the application.

60 days is the goal but mine took a little longer. It all depends on the volume. Last year it was extremely high so it took longer.

Mine was 88 days, 2 days less than they were stating at the time. Patience, man.

61 Days for me (in state). My wife takes her class tomorrow and turns in the paperwork on Monday. Hopefully only 60 days. If your funds have cleared...just be patient.
