Please answer news poll on CC in restaurants
Should it be legal for people with gun permits to carry concealed weapons into restaurants that sell alcohol?
Please take a moment to answer this poll, just put up by the Virginia-Pilot, a notoriously anti paper in southeastern VA.
Now that bills are coming up for a vote in the Virginia legislature to repeal the ban on CC in restaurants that serve alcohol (OC and drinking alcohol have always been allowed), the anti rhetoric is becoming predictably thick. Help send an overwhelming message.

Still 80% yes. They should also run a poll at the same time as this one asking "Should people licensed to drive a car should be allowed to park at a restaurant that serves alcohol". I bet the results would be similar and may help to drive a point home for the anti's.

Kind of a strange question, since Virginia doesn't issue "gun permits". On the assumption they're talking about a concealed handgun permit, I voted, "yes", since open carry tends to make more fuss among the easily challenged and hormonally imbalanced who may well be intoxicated.

Nothing I say as "user" should be taken as either advertising for attorney services or legal advice. Legal questions should be presented to a competent attorney licensed to practice in the relevant state.

I voted yes - but if given an option for comments would have added "as long as they are not drinking".
