    ^^^^What he said!^^^^^^^^^^

These sound like items worth adressing

    SB 2153 did die.

However, the powers to be have amended another bill, SB 2862 passed, which has the same language.

    Topic isn't dead yet.

    Also remember.

The language in that Sen. McDaniel has been pushing is in several Senate Bills, so the code sections have been brought forth and his amendment could show up in a conference report.

The amendment that was put in SB 2862 yesterday on the house floor did not go as far as McDaniel's amendment. It stopped at carry in parks. It did not address gov't buildings, bars, etc.

We still have hope so long as Rep. Bailey isn't a conferee on one of the final bills. Since the good McDaniel language is in several bills, that helps us out. Make no mistake, the caucus is against this; they spoke at length against the watered down amendment the House inserted yesterday. The rural white democrats will be the swing votes on this measure. I'll try to post conferees from the House side when they are posted.
