Thumbs up Got my CHL today! (Oregon, Multnomah County)

Well for those of you that may think getting a Concealed Handguns License takes a long time...

I went to my CHL class at the Mult. County Sheriffs office in Portland February 3rd, Had my CHL Application all filled out and submitted it that same day and I got a letter the other day, that is dated Feb. 16th granting me my CHL for Oregon!

2 week turnaround time not too shabby in Portland Oregon (Multnomah County)

If your a GOOD GUY/GAL and dont have a bunch of junk on your record, its fairly quick to obtain your CHL in Oregon. Im was pleasantly impressed with their process time.

Hey there fellow Oregonian. Congrats on your new concealed carry permit. Carrying concealed is not only a big, big, responsibility but it is also a whale of a lot of fun as well.

I just got mine in the mail today too!! I live in Eugene (Lane County) and I filled my application in January 11th so they took a solid 39 days to get it to me.

Thanks man, be safe and hopefully my gun won't ever have to see the light of day, except of course at the range :)

    Talking Thank you ALL!

Obtaining this CHL comes with a lot of thought and responsibility. I too hope to never run into a situation where I have to use my firearm. But I have also worried what would happen if I was not armed and HAD to defend my self or family face-to-face with a BG that is up to no good.

I rest easier knowing my family and I will be a bit more protected.

Excellent! Our's was just a couple weeks as well if I remember right...
It is utterly illogical to believe that passing laws to reduce gun violence will be successful when those who are commiting the gun violence do not obey the law.

    Congrats!

I'm a new member to DC.
It took me 6 weeks to get mine. KS is much slower. I think its because we recently passed the wonderfull bill and the process is still being learned.
