Probably, given the fact that outside of Boston most of the people I've met are both pro-firearm and pro-hunting(I've been there a few times, not many.)But it does beg a serious question: MA is as cash-strapped as any other state in the union right now, so wouldn't it make more sense to relax the standards to help bring in more money?

Of course, this is one of the most "progressive" states in the country, I guess they don't want to comprise their so-called principles in exchange for out of state money.

It's not hard to obtain a Non-Res LTC A in Massachusetts.
Just have all the required paperwork and you'll be fine.
The State Police in Chelsea are much more willing to give them out than the egotistical police chiefs that issue resident LTC's at their own whim and with whatever restrictions they want to attach.

And as a MA driver who commuted to RHode Island for 4 years, atleast us MASSholes know how to use a turn signal when we are cutting you off!

I hear ya, I wasn't worried about getting denied I have everything I need to apply but it's not worth it for how much I am there. I used to hike in the Berkshires a lot but I live in the green mountains now and the Adirondacks and the white mountains are closer and nicer anyway. We might go to Boston once, MAYBE twice a year max so it's just not worth it. Now I have a reason not to go at all.

As for using your turn signal, I'll give you that one
Vermont does not issue Permit/Licenses to Carry a Concealed firearm. Vermont allows anyone
who can legally own a firearm to carry it concealed without a permit of any kind.

Man!! I can't complain about Alabama at all.

$20 each year, no fingerprints - 1st time just show your license, fill out paperwork, sit 20 min's while they check to see if anything against you - then if all's okay they take your $20 - snap photo - print your permit and you leave with it in hand....

Each year after than - they mail a renewal notice about a month before it expires - you can send check in the mail and get your new one within a couple weeks.

Well, maybe not quite the same all over Alabama but this is the way it works in Mobile Alabama.

I was commissioned in the USAF in 1976 upon graduating from UMASS. I left for my first assignment in Wyoming and haven't looked back...Taxachusetts is a great placed to visit but would never live there again. I am firmly embedded in Arkansas now, a very gun friendly state.

Isn't it ironic that the states which fought against British control and taxes have seemed to have adopted King George's way of "rule".

This is exactly why "shall not be infringed" was added to the 2A.

This is definitely infringement....but who wants to spend the money on a lawsuit?

Funny how the 2A is the only amendment that has the words "shall not be infringed"....

I thought they used to do it by mail. 100$/year has to be THE most expensive in the country, but I guess that's better than throwing money down the MD or NJ CCW rathole.

The process starts by mail. You fill out the application and send all the things I listed above along with $100. Then you wait to be contacted and set up an appointment where you will be fingerprinted, photographed, etc.. who knows what other fees apply once you get there. Then every year you get to drive back down to Chelsea,ma and see your old buddies for the same treatment, this is of coarse if they decide to issue you a permit.

    No thank you.
