While I applaud Starbucks for what they are doing, I have no reason to go in their and the closest one in 50 miles away inside a Target.

Starbucks has done some good things, like coffee for the troops and this; but it is too expensive and not particularly good coffee. Can't wait until I use up what I bought in the commissary.

I'm quoting you mostly for a jumping point not necessarily in response or whatever...

I work for starbucks and have for several years. You have to remember that saving the rainforests and things of that nature are vital to a company that deals with things like coffee... bananas... tomatoes... or anything else like that. If they don't protect the lands they use and such they won't have coffee for the long term. If they don't have coffee for the long term then they don't have business for the long term. So in short... not protecting the environments they grow in is bad for business and that's most likely why they care.
Protection is a responsibility not just a right.

As an outdoorsman I'll never figure out why so many people have an aversion to responsible conservation. Just because a company is responsible doesn't mean they are extremists - much the same way that critics of some unsound policies don't want to pillage the earth.

The owners family beliefs would push your objections farther than Starbucks.

There seems to be many extremists on both sides that believe there is no middle.

Thanks for being a voice of reason.

I spend roughly $155 per month in that place. Altho I'd hate to start spending any more, I will send them a letter.
