One handgun for all CC, OC, target shooting and home defense uses..... Glock 21.
Have others, but they are for 'collector / display' items only and are kept locked in display cases at the home.
My biggest "collections" that are used often are rifles, rather than handguns

I carry many different guns. Sometimes its my g21 or my g30 or maybe ill carry my sigma or my .44. Spices things up a bit. But I always carry my .357 bug with one of those.

Oh man - that's me all over. Every time I research a new gun, I end up buying another Glock. I'm about to do it again with a G26. It sure does keep the rotation simple though.

Rotation
I have two different sized RIA-1911's. That way I can adjust to my dress and the weather, etc, but still be consistant with my gun. I do, on occaision, carry my Rossi .38, but usually in my go-to-work bag (we aren't allowed to have a concealed carry so I keep it off body).
As far as the nightstand goes, one of the Rocks sits there, and my wife has her own .38spl in her nightstand. Oh, and the 9mm carbine in the bathroom closet for when the SHTF

Not exactly rotation, I let the terrain and situation dictate.

I don't rotate what I carry...I carry based on what I dress and can expect...
For example, day-to-day....P229/.40 (either OWB, IWB--based on weather)
If I'm wearing a suit, P239/.40 (IWB)
If I'm someplace where I can't wear a cover garment (either too hot, or any other place where a cover garment isn't practical, i.e. khakis and a polo shirt)--I'll wear my MK9 (or even my P239) on my ankle.
Out in the woods, Beretta 92FS while my wife has my P229...

I rotate with the guns I shoot all the time, but not on any schedule. It just depends on all the above mentioned reasons. If you have more than one CC weapon I think it's viable to stay as sharp as you can with what you have, JMO.

Rotate.
All of them are SA with downward sweeping safety, so they all function the same way.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.
