I carry modified SOB (5:00 position) as my only carry position. I have found it to be very comfortable no matter what position I am in and easy to conceal. I am a little careful when bending down in stores but have never had a problem. I am 6 foot and about 175lbs. I use a Galco Sto-n-Go for this mode of carry. I am right handed so I ordered the IWB Sto-n-Go for a lefty which gives me the right draw from this position. I have carried a G36, G19, and G23 this way with no problems. At approx $30 this holster gives you a cheap option to try it out and see if it works for you. In my line of work I have to take my gun off often when entering the hospital so the clip method allows me to do this easily.

Not for me. I have a hard enough time trying to reach back to 3:30 - 4 o'clock which is why I mostly appendix carry.

I carried a Kahr MK9 in a Blade-Tech kydex S.O.B. holster for about 6 years. I liked it and never really had an issue with it. I ended up switching to a Crossbreed IWB for a Kahr PM9 at about 4:30. I find it much more comfortable and easier to draw. Otherwise, I wouldn't have switched.

Thanks for everyone's opinions and insight. I've carried there for a while (8 months) and it was initially uncomfortable but I am always looking for other ideas. I'm fairly new at carrying and want to experiment with what works best for me. The ankle thing IMO was just too painful and I couldn't see getting to it if needed. In fact the only time I see using it is if I feel the need to have a back up gun while carrying another gun somewhere else.

    Great insight though, thanks again!
