I rather be safe then sorry.
It's better to have it when you need it then need it and dont have it.
Yes, they are good and the price is also good. Most of them are also heavy.

Ruger makes every type of firearm that most normal folks need. However, I do not intend to singlehandedly support them! I got the LCP and the SP-101 and the .22 carbine and the Mini 14. I believe in diversity of famous brand names to spread the wealth and my disposable income. Beside, you gotta buy bullets!
Great guns, especially the revolvers. I love the GP100, IMHO the best revolver made.

Very reputable products and company.

Guns are like sex and air...its no big deal until YOU can't get any.
Real good......great price.......American made, I love there guns. sometimes you will hear people bash there name and the reason is always the same Bill Ruger and the mag. capacity deal. I dont hold that against them their products tell me all I need to know......You cant go wrong with a Ruger.
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man
Tell your cousin to check out the sr-9c.. or the lcp if he wants a pocket .380

There are many Ruger handguns. They are solid, reliable guns, many tend to be a bit big and blocky. The semi autos aren't the most popular for concealed carry and it may be difficult to find a good concealed carry holster for one.
The first handgun I bought was a Ruger KP-89 (9mm), I also had a KP-90 (45). I also have a couple Ruger revolvers.
My son carries the SR9 full size. Its a tank, check out the online manual about what that baby will shoot with no problems at all. Way beyond SAMMI nonsense.

You would have big troubles finding a better CCW gun than an SP101, especially with the bobbed hammer option: enough weight to suppress the brutal recoil of a .38 +P, but light enough to carry all day. And talk about "built like a tank"...

PS: My dream CCW revolver would be a SP101 with a 3" barrel, bobbed hammer, windage adj sights, and in .38spl/.357 mag. (FYI: This configuration is not a cataloged Ruger item though...).
Well built quality weapons. Can't speak for the LCP or LCR, but the rest of their line up are built like tanks.

I have had a variety of Ruger handguns, and they have all been excellent firearms. Presently, I only have one 'plunker', but it's still a dependable firearm.
I would have on concern buying a Ruger, and I'm sure I will own more in the future.![]()
