I love this one:

In Detroit, murders and gun violence is rampant. But a 10 minute drive North and you across the border into Windsor (Canada).

Windsor is a 2 minute drive through a tunnel or over a bridge SOUTH of Detroit !!!

Canada has completely different demographics than the United States. We have ten times as many people and are ten times as diverse. It's like comparing apples to hex nuts.

I think gun owners expected a very different picture as well, resulting in a massive buying spree. Welcome to the world of unintended consequenses!
Not that we have nothing to worry about:
“The watchword for gun owners is stay ready,” said Wayne LaPierre, chief executive of the National Rifle Association. “We have had some successes, but we know that the first chance Obama gets, he will pounce on us.”

But above all, HE expected a very different picture as well. The massive firearm-buying spree and big amount of new concealed carry permit was something not possible to misunderstand. Hopefully it will continue in the same way.
