    Senate Kills Concealed Carry Bill

Our hope for a third state that will allow concealed carry without a permit has died in a Wyoming State Senate Committee.

Maybe Arizona will step up to the plate now!

I use to live in Cape Girardeau and traveled that route south of Cairo; be careful the Illinois Gestapo has been known to set up "safety check points" at the old Toll House area between the Ohio and Mississippi bridges.

Disarm at the tourist trap in Mounds KY, and then rearm at the gas station (now closed) just into Missouri just to be safe, they don’t do it often but they do. The wife and I use to take the truck, slide in camper and boat to Kentucky Lake and have encountered them 3 times. You are probably safe this time of year, they mostly are looking tourists during the summer.

I don't know which is worse, your state (IL) with an outright ban on carry, or my state (NJ) with carry permits, but which are NEVER issued to anyone except rich and politically connected.

I'm now thinking mine is worse, cause they can be counted among the "may issue" states. All the "may" and none of that troublesome "issue". Hell you can't even apply because once they deny, and there is no doubt of denial, you have to report that on any other state's CCW application where the question of prior denials is asked.

    Thank goodness for Florida :)

And I suspect those same elected officials will get re-elected. That's the way our dumb voters operate.

...and jobs, just think if they set up a gun permit centers in each town to process applications and fingerprint, the state of Washington franchises out vehicle licensing facilities, they are all over the place, easy to register your car, boat, motorcycle..... and employ many and the fees collected is revenue.

But first we have to get the politicians to agree that honest people with guns and money is a good thing, not bad people that want your money and will do bad things to get it.

Time to identify those senators who voted against it, and make sure they don't get reelected.

AZ's bill is not looking good either. All the Democrats and three Republicans joined forces to attach an amendment that would virtually end private sales at gun shows by forcing sellers to be 100% sure that their buyer is a citizen (which is impossible given how much fake documentation is out there). The House version of the bill does not have the amendment, but there's no telling how much more time it will take to get it passed.
