constantly forgetting my wallet
Well I have had my ccw about a year, in the state of Pa we don't have to take a class to get it so a lot questions have crossed my mind. One of them is I tend to always remember my gun and forget my wallet. What would happen to my if I got pulled over or was confronted by a LEO and did not have my permit on me. I am getting better about having it on me but once in a great while I make the mistake.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.

I keep a state ID in my wallet and my drivers license in my car. I would perhaps obtain a second copy of my permit if you are able. THis way you can stow one in the car and have in your wallet. In theory you should be covered unless you take someone elses car.
Perhaps you might also try keeping your wallet next to your carry gun? This way you will grab both?

Keys, gun, wallet, chapstick, watch, cell phone, pocket knife... Some things just have to get ingrained.
I have a drawer in the kitchen where I dump everything (but the gun) when I get home. I never leave the house without emptying the drawer.

Most LE agencies can run your info to verify you have a CCWP, but you are required by law to have it on you, if you get the wrong LEO it could get real ugly for you. Check you state laws for punishment.
Get a copy of your CCWP and keep in your car, then get disciplined and train your self. I keep my wallet and keys next to each other, can't forget.

If you can remember your gun you need to rember your wallet. two things that make me feel naked----no wallet no knife. maybe not a gun as much cause i cant carry at work.
You may not like guns. You may choose not to own one. That is your right.
You might not believe in God. That is your choice.
However, if someone breaks into your home at 3AM the first two things you are going to do are:
1) Call someone with a gun.
2)Pray they get there in time." - A wise man

I'll go along with the rest of the opinions. Train yourself to grab your wallet. If nothing else, put your permit with your gun. That way you can't forget it. Just a thought.

A pat down before you leave the house always works for me.
Top of my head, glasses-check, right hip, firearm-check, right rear pocket, wallet-check left rear pocket, knife and lighter-check, left hip, cell phone-check, jacket pocket, right side, keys-check.
Anything missing, I just go back and find when I left it.
As I get dressed every morning, I follow the same routine. Start at the bottom and work up. Socks, undies, pants, belt, holster, wallet, firearm, knife, lighter, then and only then, the bra and shirt. Bra and shirt never ever go on until the firearm is holstered. That way I know is I'm topless, I forgot the firearm. Not much chance of that happening.

That could be bad. "Here's my permit, officer! *reaches for gun*"

If you can't remember "wallet, keys and gun", you might need one of these:

Roll up your license and a few 20's, then attach it to your keys..

My girlfriend got me a basket so I can just put all of my stuff in it from my pockets when I get home. And when I leave I just empty the basket. So far it works, but my problem wasn't forgetting my wallet, more like losing my keys all the time.
