NC Now Honors NE - Info On WA/FL Agreement

NC will now Honor a Nebraska Permit/License. Nebraska has honored a NC Permit since they started honoring other states permits Last year.

Washington State and Florida signed a reciprocity agreement but Washington will not honor the FL non resident permit. Since FL would not honor the WA non resident permit the Washington State AG stated that WA would not honor the FL non resident permit. Washington will honor the Utah Non resident permit because UT will honor the WA non resident permit. I could not get an answer from the WA AG on this but the Florida Official who takes care of Agreements for Florida informed me that he had talked to the WA AG Office and they told him that Washington would not honor Florida's Non Resident permit. The Florida Official Web site reflects this and I am trying to get the WA AG to make this more plain on the Official Reciprocity Web site for the Washington AG.

Great news. I have never been to SC nor do I have any plans to in the near future (not trying to be rude) but at least now I can carry legally in that state.

I have avoided going to WA...now I may just go for a rainy visit in the summer.

We'll try to arrange one of our non-rainy days for you if you come to visit. Although I think it has rained pretty much every day that I've spent in Florida. 4:00-4:05PM thundershower, sunny before - sunny after.

Er. OK, so I have a resident WA state permit. Can I carry when I go visit my parents in FL? Or is that then considered 'non-resident?'

Sorry guys, I have no idea how to interpret this and the last thread on it.

A non-resident permit is one from a state where you don't live. If you live in WA and have a WA permit, yours is a "resident" permit and is now recognized in FL unless you move to FL.
