    Finally got it!

    Got the call from the county sheriff's office on Monday that my CC permit was ready for pick up. Picked it up today, making the official wait 86 days for Durham County, NC (max is 90...).

    Went Monday on my lunch break, but they wouldn't let me have it b/c my driver's license had an old address on it (never got around to changing it after I moved a few years back). I asked them how I was even allowed to apply if my driver's license didn't match my application. They said 'someone' should have caught that, but my instructor should have told me that the addresses had to match. Fine, whatever, I should have had my license updated, but you might think 86 days would have been enough time for anyone of them to notice before I made the trip in.

    So had to get the driver's license changed on Tues, then went down to the SO today. Happy to finally have it in hand!

    wow 86 days?? thats a bit excessive. Here in MN its a 30 day maximum.

    Practice, study safe gun handling techniques, and also study NC codified and case laws. One can never learn enough...and the laws change all the time. Congrats and stay safe!!!!
