As of 2008, county by county for NC. Totals at the bottom.

    http://sbi2.jus.state.nc.us/crp/public/Default.htm

OK, click on Concealed Handgun Permits on the left side under "Other SBI Statistics". I can't get the direct link to work.

I can't believe NY allows that many 'little people' to actually carry a gun out on the streets. It might scare Mayor Bloomberg.
NY State issues the permits (NYC is another animal) and some counties issue with restrictions like Hunting/Target and others issue un-restricted. The luck of the draw as to which one you live in.
I have an un-restricted permit and so do lots and lots of people I know.

New York State is a pretty big place and not all of it is anti-gun. NY City happens to be just a little sour part of the entire dairy.

I don't know where the true numbers are, but I read somewhere that Indiana has about a quarter million LCHs.

The Connecticut link you have listed does not have a link to the permit statistics. It covers all the laws and AG opinions, though, and is a good resource page.

Majorlk, I put the main page as the link as it has a lot of reports on it. The statistics for # issued is a link about 1/2 way down the page on the left. If I link to one file then if they update it the file may disappear. That is why I put this at the top of the file.

This is a listing of States and links to their
    Statistics on Permit/License issued. You
may have to look around on the page that
the links open to find the information you
    are looking for.

I have found out when I link to far down they have a tendency to replace the doc with a new one and give it a different link. About 8 to 10% of the links on Handgunlaw.us change every year. It is a lot of work to just keep them updated. That is why I just liked to the CT Doc page so if they do update the file it is less likely to expire.

Doesn't look promising getting stats for Oklahoma. Thankfully so, in my opinion.

TITLE 21 1290.13 Automatic listing of licenses

    AUTOMATIC LISTING OF LICENSES

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation shall maintain an automated listing of all persons issued a concealed handgun license in this state pursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act, Section 1290.1 et seq. of this title, and all subsequent suspended or revoked licenses. Information from the automated listing shall only be available to a law enforcement officer or law enforcement agency upon request for law enforcement purposes.

You got me! I spent 30 minutes on that page and completely missed it! My apology ...

PS - I hope you are not snowed under. Your Governor declared a state of emergency for Preston County - Tera Alta has 100+ inches on the ground! Bummer!

Live on the Ohio river at the base of the Northern Panhandle. All the snow is melted here. Got about 24 to 28 inches in February. But it is all gone in the last few days. Over in the mountains they got tons and it is going to start raining for the next 3 or 4 days and they are not sure how much. With the snow and the rain it looks like flooding. I hear that Pittsburgh is already sandbagging places. I am high and dry. If I get flooded we are in really big trouble.

Glad you found the link on the page. I have to say that in this search I actually came across 5 or 6 pages on firearms I had never seen before. Been doing this a long time and thought I had seen them all. The internet is bigger than I thought.
