The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

Guilty as charged..... I do not carry when I drive to work in the morning.

I have a MOC combination locking box coming so that I can leave the gun in the car and correct this horrible oversite.

Glad to hear everyone is so vigilant! I never leave home without mine in Fresno, there have been 13 murders here since the start of the new year. Unemployment is at 18.2% and people seem to be getting more and more desperate. Of course violent crime is on the rise everywhere it seems like, probably do to the unsettling economic climate. I'm glad everyone who can legally carry, carries!

Just because you can't have your gun on you, doesn't mean you can't be "armed". I carry a folder knife, pepper spray, kubaton, mini-koga (not all at once) if I can't be armed with a gun.

    Not me,

I carry while mowing the grass.

I carry while at the inlaws for a birthday party.

I carry while out for a jog.

I carry while washing the dishes.

    I carry while at _ _ _ _ _ _.

    I carry even when I see a _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _.

I don't carry on federal property.

    Sorry, I censored myself there.

One of the many benefits of being an LEO is that I can pretty much carry anywhere in the US and since the first day that they gave me a firearm I have carried one everywhere I've gone.

There are many times (days) that I have to disarm due to job or whatever.

When I can legally do so, I'm heeled.

I'll 2nd this..... we were in Vancouver for a week during the games and it was so strange to not have that extra weight on the waist. Hubby and I both commented about feeling like we were forgetting something everytime we went out.

On the plus side we both found tighter notches on our belts that we'd forgotten were there!

I wish I could say I always carry(and I do when at home), I just can't. My money is made on the premise that I can be sent anywhere at any given time, and that includes the states of Illinois, Maryland, New York, military bases, international trade zones, and a slew of other placed where firearms are prohibited by law.

However, defensive tools other than firearms are available to me. Not to mention, they're also tools required for my profession.

Not to sound like a Ruger commercial (I'm a Glocker, anyway)... Honestly, prior to getting an LCP, there were holes in my coverage. It serves mostly as a BUG, but there are times when it is a primary where there was nothing, previously. There is no occasion that I can't conveniently and discreetly carry it.

If I leave the house, I am armed. Period. Leaving home without a firearm is like leaving home without my wallet or cell phone. Can't do it!

Sliding my .45 into its holster on my belt is just like putting on underclothes. I'm armed everywhere I go except for inside the jail where I work.

Ever since I got my Beretta 950BS Jetfire (.25 cal) I have been a little lazy in carrying anything larger. I never go "naked" but lately I've been wearing the thong a lot.
