As a comparison, DoubleTap sells their 9mm JHP +P for $37 per 50, which is $18.50 per 25, plus shipping charges (which are waived if you purchase 1000rds of anything).

A really good price right now is at AmmunitionToGo.com, which is selling a half-case (500rds) of Federal P9HS1G1 Hydra-Shok Tactical JHP +P+ for $250. That's $12.50 per 25, plus shipping. With shipping costs included, 1000rds would cost $13.31 per 25, and 500rds would cost $13.51 per 25. As of 6pm today, it's in stock. I recently picked up some, myself.

Any good hollow point ammo will do the trick as long as it feeds with reliability. Placement is far more important than brand.

My favorite 9mm load for my Glock 19, I am still breaking in my new Kahr CW9 so I am waiting to see how it does in that pistol as well.
