I have never used Aquila ammo, and know nothing of it.

I've gone through a little under 1000 of that brand in 9mm - not a single problem.

Don't hold me to this, but if I'm not mistaken the equipment used to manufacture Aguila ammo is by Remington or one of the other large American ammunition companies. I can't remember if the American company has any financial holdings in Aguila or just that the ammo is manufactured using the American equipment.

I got the information on the company in an article on Aguila Ammo in one of the major gun magazines when they first started importing their ammo to the USA.

It's my understanding it's the machinery that came out of the Bridgeport, Connecticut, plant when Remington closed it.

And, I think that it is made in Mexico but may be owned by Remington as stated in an earlier post.

If it is that cheap and available, I would say buy buy buy!

I have some of the old aguila IQ ammo, solid cast aluminum slugs with 3
sections (4 counting the base) with a large deep hollow cavity .
Mine is .45 cal and pertty much fragments like a grenade .
    Awesome stuff,
I dont think it is sold in this country anymore for some reason, so I am keeping it as a collectable of sorts. They made it in most calibers , but the stuff they import now is pretty much standard stuff.

Luckygunner has good stock levels recently but their prices are almost always much higher than the rest of the online dealers.

They have MBI .380 reloads for $46/100 and mine are only $30.72/100. I must be doing something wrong. They are getting $15/100 more than I am.
