Speer also makes a few non gold dot jhp's in the same weights as their GHP's.

I use them a lot for reloads.

I do not see the problem with ording ammo from Cabelas. I got my order of 200 rds .380 Cridical Defence yesterday. O that is unless you do not mind waiting 11 months to get it! My order was made April 2009 and just came in. I do all of my outdoor orders from Cabelas even though I live just a few miles from the other 2 Big Boys. Just chose what you order, just pick in stock ammo.

Go to the cabellas store if you dont like the online wait. I was just there yesterday and they had plenty of amo in many calibers including 380. I prefere to buy in person anyways.
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.

It was worth the wait, though....600 rds., FREE Dry-Box and FREE shipping!! $270....
Good luck with the Gold Dot FMJ...er....JHPs!!
    $25/50? That's a good deal?

Yikes. Ammo must be awfully hard to come by in your area.

My local gun shop had 3...that's THREE (!!) 50rd. boxes of S&B .45 230gr. last Saturday!!!
That's every bit of .45ACP ball ammo they had!! Price? $27/50!!!!!
The ironic thing.....they had about 30 50rd. boxes of Speer GDHP 230gr. -- the stuff that everyone else says is hard to get!! Price....$25/50.....
2 or 3 guys came in while I was there, asking for .380...."Nope...been out for about 5 weeks now...no word on when- of IF - we'll see more...."
Plenty of 9mm and .40S&W around here, though....
I've NOW got enough .45 to last me a little bit.....!

Not necessarily. Just about everything is on the shelves here in decent quantity and at decent prices at Cabela's and the LGS - except at WalMart.
