Does anyone have any experience with this ammo? I have a glock 19, I figure it will run just fine in my gun but is it a decent round to use for self defense?
It'll work fine.
For a lot of people, being a victim is a way of Life. That's a Life I choose NOT to live.
A Shepherd must tend to his Flock. And at times........fight off the wolves.
It'll work very good in a Glock since Glocks are +p rated for LEO, I prefer the Cor Bon 125 gr +p over the Winchester and Gold Dot +p ammo cuz its more accurate.

The Winchester S9MMPDB Supreme Elite Bonded PDX1, in 9mm JHP 124gr +P has the following specs:Though this post on GunForAll.com suggests it's 1200 fps and 396 ft-lbs from the muzzle: click. And MidwayUSA reports the same thing: click.Originally Posted by Winchester's web pages

Many people are speaking the words "Winchester PDX1" in the same breath as "Speer GD."
I would certainly give it a look. As compared to the DoubleTap JHP Bonded Defense (Speer GD) 9mm JHP 124gr +P cartridge that I use, it's got ~100 ft-lbs and a couple hundred FPS poorer performance. How that translates into a target body? Don't know.
My own personal minimums for a 9mm JHP defensive round are: > 1200 fps, > 400 ft-lbs.
Before considering for my own carry in a 3-4" bbl primary pistol, I'd want to perform some basic comparison tests, in water jugs, ballistic jell and perhaps a few country hams. It would have to outperform the DoubleTap JHP 9mm 124gr +P, and outperform the Federal Tactical Hydra-Shok 9mm JHP 124gr +P+. But that's just me.
But, based on the essential specs, the design of the bullet, the FBI's blessing, it would seem to be a better choice than most others out there. I wouldn't want to get struck by it.
