I don't think I've shot any PMC ammo since the early 1990's.

If I recall correctly I believe the Manual for my Ruger Mini-30 specifically said not to shoot PMC ammo so I never did.

I used to shoot it with my pistols because it was plentiful and cheap in my area at the time. I don't recall any problems with it though.

Haven't shot a lot of PMC through my G30 (100 rds or so) but never had a problem. Interesting. Bad batch?

Welcome to the club! I used to own a Kimber in .38 Super. I [B]tried[B] firing some PMC ammo through it and had the exact same problems. PMC is wimpy, wimpy, wimpy....haven't bought any since. Everything else I tried, even reloads worked fine.

I have ran hundreds of factory PMC rounds through my G30 and never had a problem. I also reload them and never a problem either. I have a batch of about 400 PMC cases that I have reloaded 4 times each and never a problem.

The only issue I have with it is how dirty it is. I had a thick layer of soot all over my .38 after shooting just 50 rounds. There was also a good sized cloud of smoke after every shot.

From now on I'm aiming for something a bit cleaner.

I fired PMC 40 this weekend. It's the first time that I've used that brand. I can't really comment on how clean/dirty it is because I wasn't paying attention -- was during move/shoot instruction -- but I would use it again. No failures of any kind anyway.

On the other hand, three of us that were using Federal Champion in the course experienced the copper-jacketing separating from the projectile and depositing on the targets. At first I thought it was a problem with my gun and switched to my backup. Same thing from my backup. After discussing the issue with some of the others, I discovered that other attendees had the same problem. The conclusion and consensus is that the plating process is not well done to cut costs. I wish I wasn't running out of Blazer Brass -- the standard bearer for 40SW ball in my mind -- because this federal crap does not meet the standard. PMC is alright though.

I have run quite a bit of PMC ball through my Glock 30 without any hiccups, but yes it was dirty....i prefer the cheapo Blazer aluminum when I can find it.

I have never had any troubles with PMC .380 through my LCP or PMC .45 through my Ruger P90.

Now that some of you mention it, there was a considerable amount of soot at the end of the barrel. I've never had problems with any other ammo so maybe it was a batch made on Friday at the end of the day. LOL

I ran PMC Bronze through my Sig 238 and didn't have a single problem.
