    Defensive Ammo

Does anyone have any knowledge first hand on the comparison of the following ammo's?

    1) Magsafe
    2) Corbon

I've used all the current production ammo's and was curious to see if the "supposed" improved ballistics of the two above actually had merit.

Do a search on MagSafe and you'll find some threads...I started one. I used to carry Magsafe but after researching terminal ballistics I don't think that it provides sufficient penetration to be effective. At the end of the day, I think that the exotic loads are more salesmanship than good ballistics, and I changed to conventional LE loads.

To add to what was said about Magsafe which is generally said to be marketing hype and not a good choice, CorBon is simply a manufacturer of ammo much like Speer, Federal, or Hornady. They have some good loads, like their DPX line with the solid copper bullet.

Generally, most shooters who are in the know use what various law enforcement agencies use when selecting defense ammo. That is to say They'd use Speer Gold Dot, Remington Golden Saber, Winchester Ranger, Federal HST and a few others.
