Was traveling from Michigan to Illinois Saturday the 24th and found some ammo to add to my meager stash.
A Walmart at Grand Haven had about 6 boxes of Federal 9mm (about $9.47 each) that went home with me. They also had a lot of 50 round and 100 round Winchester white box 9mm supplies (reasonable price but a little more than the Federal).
Then the best find of all was at the Cabela's store at Mile Marker 2 off I-80, in western Indiana.
They had all kinds of .380 defensive ammo from Buffalo Bore to 5 or 6 different brands of JHP. They also had about 70 to 100 boxes of FMJ ball .380 S & B ammo at about $18.00 a box. Needless to say, I limbered up the Visa card and left as one happy camper.
Checked on my way home today, and they still had about 30-40 boxes of S&B , but had about 100 or more boxes of Winchester white box (50 rds) FMJ/ball (not the flat point that is a little quirky in some .380s).
Strangely, a few miles down the road at the Bass Pro shop MM 19, they had no .380 ammo.
Guess Cabela's is doing something right.
Just for you info,
