Federal 40 SW 135 gr at Walmart

Grabbed 10 boxes of 50 round boxes for $22/box. They are smooth. At this price I don't need to practice with FMJs anymore. I shot them from the Glock 27/23 today.

Maybe this is a sign of better ammo supplies.

When they are available at my Walmart, they are usually around $16 per 50rd box for the same Federal.

I'd be happy to see the $22, $16 for a box of 50 40's would be a dream come true!

    wal-mart .40 cal prices

I went and bought 300 rounds of Winchester .40 cal FMJ for about $105. I was also able to buy 200 rounds 9mm FMJ for $44.

Why blast JHP if you wont use that as a self defense round? or will you? Sometimes WM has 100 rd packs of Remington JHP for about $32 or so.

That price is for FMJ, not hollowpoints.

OK,maybe I'm just being a cranky old curmudgeon here, but after a couple of years of tolerating scores of posts about which Wal-Mart has what ammo for what price, is there any reason to post what you paid at your local Wal-Mart for ammo? Is it not abundantly clear by now that ammo prices and availability vary by region and by store?

The redundant posts about Wal-Mart ammo prices and the inane "Wally World Walk" for people who got their CCW yesterday fall into the Useless Posts buckets. BFD. Rejoice in your own community.

my understanding is that walmart doesn't stock hollow points. at least none of the ones by me do. Maybe they do out your way.

    10-4.

I looked at the 100 pack of remington JHP 40 and it's the UMC variety. At ~ $16 for 50 it may be worth trying it out.

Ive definitely seen 40, 45, 38spl, and 22lr hollowpoints at my nearest WM. Probably 3 different kinds of 40 (rem UMC, federal, and winchester PDX). it's out there.

    gasmitty,

Federal 40 SW 135 gr at Walmart

Considering that I had paid $80 for just 100 rounds online, I was happy to see a low price for a change. My gun dealers charge $1/bullet in Jacksonville, Florida.

However, I see in OK state, the prices are really low.

On my trip to other states, I buy ammo - ESP If the availability is high and the prices are low.
