Wow that's a lot. They don't even have ammo or guns at Wal-Mart out here...

Speaking of Wal-Mart, I just went there tonight and bought ALL of their 9mm Federal FMJ ammo, with all being 7 boxes of 50.

Last time I went in they limited me to 10 boxes. So I bought 10 boxes of 9's carried them out to the car then came back in and picked up 10 boxes of 40's. Our Wally World has had a pretty good stock of ammo lately. I came no where near wiping them out of either one.

I don't know what in here is what caliber since I have never bought any ammo before, but I do know that the left side, third shelf is WWB 9mm and there is .40 S&W WWB on the other side of the red boxes right before the first vertical wooden separator)

I forgot to mention that the guy who rang me up said that, "Today was the first day there is no limit on ammo." Then again when I handed him my ID he said I was 1 year too young to buy ammo. Of course I'm old enough (22), so I laughed and said, I'm 22, and I've got my CCW permit with me as well if that helps!

    AZ Hawk,
22... you're just a "pup" ... I'm jealous. When I was 22 I had been back from Vietnam for over a year. 57 years young now and still shooting.

Kind of looks like the Walmarts here in Fl. Last week I actually picked up a box of UMC 380. It was the only box they had left, and the lady said they only received 3 boxes.

Several months ago 9mm ammo was as scarce as hen's teeth, it's nice to see ammo shelves stocked again! Federal 9mm was actually under $10 a box of 50.

A couple stores near my area stopped selling ammo, the shelf space is used for something else. The other is getting some stock, but still not large amounts. No .45acp either.

    PROPS to my local Wal-Mart!!!

First I went to a local gun store to buy a couple of new holsters and some ammo. I need 300 rounds for a course I'm taking but thought I'd go ahead and pick up 500 rounds. The cheapest 9mm box of 50 they had was selling for $17.95/box. For target/practice rounds???? FORGET THAT! So I bought my holsters and headed to Wal-Mart.

The ammo shelves at Wal-Mart were stocked pretty well. They had 7 boxes of Federal 9mm 50/box on the shelf at $9.97/box. So I tell them I need 10 boxes, which means they have to go get a new case from the back. The guy is grumbling because he doesn't have enough room on the shelf to hold the extra boxes after he opens the new case. So I tell him, "no problem, I'll just take the whole case". He was happy, I was happy... WIN WIN!

So now I have 1000 rounds and I saved $159.60 over what I would have paid at the local gun store. I like supporting the little guy and will continue buying my firearms there.... but ammo I will get from Wal-Mart.
