End of ammo rationing at Wal mart

I went to purchase some ammo at the Wal Mart in Benson AZ and was asked "How many boxes do you want?"

The Sporting Good Dept manager then told me that they (Wal Mart super store) received a letter from Corporate last week stating the ammo supply situation has changed and to remove any rationing.

He stated with a smile, "You can buy what ever your bank account allows."

Both stores Benson AZ and Sierra Vista AZ seems to be well stocked with ammo. Even .380

Situation definitely getting better. Stores around here are well stocked with everything... except 380.

    Same here in PA.

    100 round WWB packs of 9mm, WOO-HOO!

No .380, but not a big deal, saw this coming and got rid of my two .380's this past year.

I heard that corporate has sent down an order to not put limits on boxes of ammo a long time ago.

Thanks. I'll have to check that out...they still had the 2 box max sign up a few days ago.

Fairfax, VA (Fair Lakes) Limits have been removed here as well. Shelves stocked full, mostly with 9mm - They have boatloads of Federal, Winchester, and even RWC. No .40, .45, or .38 special, though.

My experience has been the same here since the turn of the year actually. Now I don't have to call the local WMs and see if they have anything in stock. I just go on the regular shopping trips and come away with pretty much what I want these days in the way of ammo, and still at the best prices out there. Wal Mart is truly my one stop shop once again! Viva Wal Mart!

Yesterday I learned my Walmart does not carry the Speer Gold Dot 9mm +p SB and won't. This after checking in with them for months. My other stops would carry it if they could get it, but can't get it now.

That is pretty sweet. Hopefully the prices start coming down a little too...

Anybody have a link to the letter?

I purchased some ammo last night and they still limit me to six boxes. So I have to get my girlfriend to come with me to help get more.

I bought some .40 at the one down by Potomac Mills last weekend...and they had tons of 9mm...and no signs about limits...

End of ammo rationing at Wal mart

Our Wally still has mostly empty shelves. There is some hunting ammo, a bit of 40S&W, and darn little else.
