    Angry Frustrating people.....

    After spending a day going through the entire reloading process with a friend who is into cowboy action I am frustrated at the results...

    Since I had a large quantity of nickle plated .357 brass WE decided to use it for his next outing.. I explained the difference in case length and that his Rugers could have problems if the cyclinders were not cleaned because of the deposits on the last tenth of an inch in them. He has been shooting nothing but .38Special up until now.

    Got a call last night...
    "Had a lot of trouble with those reloads... They wouldn't go into the cylinder... Range officer told me to dump the crappy ammo.."

    I have some extras from the reloading session and they all went easily into my Ruger SP101...

    Thanks for listening to my rant.

    No...He now understands the problem.. I asked him how often and how he cleaned his sixguns..
    Response;

    "After each shoot. I run a brush down the barrel with some solvent, then all I do with the cylinders is spray them with some oil then run through a couple of clean patches."

    Enough said...

    What jagged me the most was the comment by the range officer..
    "crappy ammo."

    Too bad it was probably the best ammo at the range that day...IMHO

    Did you explain to him to ignore the "crappy" range officer next time he had problems?

    If the ammo won't go in the cylinder he just needs a bigger hammer

    LMAO. no duh. That by the way is only one of several reasons that I normally shoot .357s out of my guns instead of .38s, each gun has a caliber.
    A hand gun is like a fire extinguisher , I wish to use neither, but have both on hand in case of need ; both are personal protection devices that serve the same purpose . ie safety of you and your family.
