WOW Remington .380 ammo at dicks sporting goods

I went to dicks to go to use a reward certificate I got in the mail. I'm pretty stocked up on ammo for all my guns. As I was looking at the long guns I see 2 boxes of Remington 380 auto @ 18 bucks! I tell the guy I want that! I proably looked crazy when I said it LOL. I was like these will be the last ones for a longtime.

This will be my first time shooting American made 380 ammo thru my LCP.

Anyone know why it's so hard to get American made 380? I hate the ones from oversea's. They are dirty and WAY over priced!

Check the local Wal Mart...I bought 4 boxes of WW white box .380 ammo with the truncated cone bullet for $31.95 a box ( 100 rounds )

The clerk at Wal Mart said that they do not get .380 ammo in very often and when they do, it is gone very fast. He said that after 8 p.m. is when they stock the shelves and that is the best time to shop

One of the gun stores that I hang out at got several cases of .380 Win Silvertip in today as well as several cases of primers.

Perhaps the ammo situation is easing up.

Acamedy Sports has some every now and then. Yesterday I drove up to Buda, TX to go to cabelas and the shelves were stocked 380 of all different brands including winchster. Judging by that place you'd never guess there was a shortage on 380 they must of had over 100 boxes in stock.

I went to my local Academy last night to get some supplies for our VBS recreation plans. Their shelves were full of .380. It was the first time I had seen .380 there since January 2009. I did leave some for others.

I saw some winchester white box .380 at wal mart the other day, but did not buy it as I had just ordered 750 rounds of magtec ammo.
A hand gun is like a fire extinguisher , I wish to use neither, but have both on hand in case of need ; both are personal protection devices that serve the same purpose . ie safety of you and your family.

I will go you one better...tonight at my local WalMart, they had 6 boxes of WW white box .380 ( that's 100 rounds to the box) for $33.73 tax inc.

I have shot quite a bit of that ammo in my Kahr P380 and I like it...

It seems to be a little bit hotter than other FMJ rounds, namely Remington and MagTech.

Another fact that I like about it, is the truncated bullet.

check your local WalMart after 8pm because that is when they stock the shelves.

I also saw it at Dick's last weekend.
    (In Florida).
I don't shoot this caliber (yet) so didn't get overly excited but
could this be an encouraging sign that the ammo shortage may be over?

Try ammoseek.com. They have a link to BVAC 380 (Made in USA) for $300/case SHIPPED ($15/box). Also keep an eye on SGCUSA.com. Every few weeks they obtain a cache of 380 and sell it very cheap (e.g., $13/box). It runs out fast. They do have high shipping esp. if you don't live in the west. You can somewhat mitigate the SGCUSA shipping by buying larger quantities.

This mirrors exactly what my sister did. She told the lady behind the counter that she wanted .380 and she said they didn't have any. My sister pointed at the shelf and the lady saw it and said that this is the first they they had gotten since last May. They had even thrown the tag away. She also bought 400 rounds. All they had.
