You're gonna stir up a can of worms with this. Given the lower power of a .380, I'd say pick the one that feeds best and go with it.

    LOL, take it easy.......

Yup I do it as a general summer carry load.... Winter, I load the FMJs for better penetration with heavier clothing. But short of a Bell helmet it's kinda moot.... If I'm using my BUG .380, he/they are getting head and upper body action from my sub calibers.

I stay with the hollowpoint. If the HP nose plugs with clothing material then to a degree it will act as a FMJ. Then again living in Florida most of the time the clothing material is very light. JMHO.

I alternate 4 HP and 3 FMJ in my LCP. All FMJ during winter months here though.

No really good reason to do so. It's all FMJ, all the time for me.

My Walther PPK/S is always loaded with PowRball ammo. It imitates FMJ but gives you the expansion factor also.

Move to Michigan and you'll find out about winter beginning in October until June.

Hmmmm... yup. Been alternating. FMJ and Hydro-shock hollow points in my spare mags. Got FMJ and Hornady Critical Defense in the main mag. Sig P238.

But... I find it bothersome. The JHP stuff is so expensive that I don't want to shoot it. Hence, no rotation. Also, I do penetration test in the back yard and the JHP's of course penetrate less.

What I am starting to like is the Winchester truncated cone or flat nose FMJ. This stuff punches a nice hole. And it's cheaper in the Walmart value pack. So with the truncated cone I get a good hole and penetration. And I can afford to shoot the stuff.
