What Is Everyone Paying For 9mm In the Store?

Just wondering. I'm pretty sure I'll start feeling jealous. I was in one of the Walmarts here in Raleigh, NC at 2 am buying fishing gear for the morning and did my usual glance in the ammo cabinet. They had Federal FMJ 9mm stacked all the way up and to the back on its portion of the shelf for $9.47. My buddy didn't understand how or why I was so excited. Before that the cheapest 9mm I found for a box of 50 was $13.99 or $13.50. Came back during the hours they sold ammo and bought 5 boxes. I'll grab some more on payday this Friday if they still have a decent supply. So what are ya'll paying?

$10 is the cheapest I've ever found 9mm ammo. That's not a bad deal at all.

Typically it's around $10-$13.99 depending on manufacturer, and quantity purchased. That's local prices for St. Louis, Mo

I bought the same ammo (Federal FMJ) for about the same price in Kinston NC at Walmart. But since I am new to 9 mm I only bought one box to test it out. Now I wish I had bought more.

I try to buy 500 to 1000 rounds at a time if I can get it for under 20 cents a round. At the local Wally World, there's usually about 2 or 3 boxes of 50 and they're usually $15 - $16.

At happens, I was looking over the cost of 9mm at Walmart.

On 10/28/08 was $10.27 for 50 rounds of 115 GR. FMJ Winchester. (You could also buy 100 round boxes for $19.99).

Soon after my local Walmart had difficulty keeping ammunition the shelf.

From 3/8/09 to 6/28/09 shipments, when they could get their order filled, was sold for $8.97 for 50 rounds of 115 GR. FMJ Blazer Brass.

Then around 7/18/09 there was a change in brand, and for $8.97 you could get 50 rounds of 115 GR. FMJ RN Federal.

At some point, they still carry Federal, but there has been a price increase to $9.47 for 50 rounds of 115 GR. FMJ RN Federal.

    Hope this helps.

Federal is a decent brand of ammo. Use federal buckshot a lot for hunting and know some guys who like the federal fusion ammo for deer as well. Have some relatives in Kinston, father grew up near a small town near dover.

Just got a bunch of 9 mm for $12.99 for 50 in Remington FMJ for range use. I thought that was a good price.

Where I live 45acp costs 30 bucks for 100 ct. The store I bought my guns from sell 50 ct for 32 bucks. Walmart sounds like a good deal to me.

I shoot a lot and reload even more. Pay back for me was at about 2100 rounds. Now it is all gravy. I have heard about Walmart's pricing if you can find it. Tends to go fast.

When I went out shooting with someone, they bought me some ammo at cost $9.50 per box. I just can't find that deal lol. The last time I personally went out and got ammo, I paid $24 per box for 100 rounds.

For new boxes of 50rds, between $12-16/bx for FMJ and about $38/bx for my preferred JHP defensive ammo. That is, if I were to purchase it now. I'm still mostly drawing on cases that I purchased before the prices spiked, nicely, so my average is quite a bit lower actually.
