    Trying to ID some cases

I found some cases in 9mm marked with WCC, a number usually 05 or 07 and has a plus sign in a circle. What was this ammo originally? They don't reload very well. I got 8 out of 50 that I couldn't seat a primer in. I assume the WCC is Winchester Cartridge Company but is this some kind of specialty ammo or just cheap brass?

Is this stuff avaliable commercially or would it be military issue. Just wondering where it came from and why it is showing up on a local range.

There's been quite a bit of it for sale lately.

    Not uncommon at all.

WCC is Winchester (Olin Corporation) nomenclature for their military ammunition. Commercial brass and ammo is marked "Winchester" and the military is marked "WCC" and the year the brass was drawn (not necessarily loaded). The WCC ammo now is bits of "surplus" that leaked into the commercial market.
