It's readily available in Arkansas because of their manufacturing plant in Lonoke, but truth be told, I hate the 9mm Golden Saber. It's just...weak. I switched as soon as I could find some other higher performance 9mm ammo.

I don't have any scientific data or tests in ballistic gelatin, but the 9mm Golden Saber is a +P round that trundles along at a "blistering" 1050FPS. Meanwhile, Federal HST standard pressure 124-grain 9mm hums along at 1150FPS. I know that velocity isn't everything, but in 9mm, it's very important.
    Uhh....What? The GS 9mm +P 124gr is 1180 at the muzzle from 4" barrel. Check Remington's site.
Also, *** shooting body armor? You think ANY JHP is going to go through that?

I've shot paper with it. Seems to perform about as well as other rounds.

I carry the 125 in my .38 and the 147 in my 9mm. I'm confident both will persuade a recipient to stop trying to kill me.

I'm thinking of getting a box as of late. Just need a little more convincing is all.

    Y'see, I had a Belgian Browning Hi-Power, and yes that's past tense.

Back when I still had it, I found I bought the only box of Golden Sabre that escaped Remington's usually sterling quality control.
This box was loaded just a wee bit too long, and would not feed from my honored and ancient Hi-Power.
The one I wish I still had.

I have a box of 124 gr +p golden sabers, but haven't shot any. I also have a 50 round box of 147 gr non+p bonded golden sabers, but haven't shot any of them either. I prefer Non +p 124 gr. Federal USTs. They load and shoot well in my Taurus 709 slim, and my SW9ve.

This thread, like the Golden Saber, will not die...

I have quite a few of the 124+P bonded, and am confident in them.

I use the GS in standard and +P, both are fine and perform as they should.
